Team
Invite your team
TL;DR — Settings → Organisation → Invite someone. They get an email, click the link, and land in your organisation with the role you picked.
Send an invitation
- Open Settings → Organisation.
- Under Invite someone, type their email address.
- Pick the role they should have — see roles if you are not sure.
- Click Invite.
They get an email naming your organisation, the role, and who invited them, with a button that takes them straight in.
You need to be an admin or an owner, and you cannot invite someone at a role above your own.
What happens on their end
If they already have a Quadraviz account, the link adds your organisation to it. They keep their own login and can switch between organisations from the header.
If they don't, the link takes them to a sign-up screen first, and drops them into your organisation as soon as they've created an account.
Either way they don't lose anything they already had. Joining your organisation does not replace their own.
Things worth knowing
Links expire after seven days. An invitation sitting in an inbox is a way into your organisation, and one that never expires is a way in that nobody remembers giving out. If someone misses the window, send another.
A link only works once. Once it has been used it stops working, so a forwarded email is not a second seat.
Their email has to be confirmed. That confirmation is what proves the account belongs to the person you invited. If they see a message asking them to confirm their address, they need to do that first, then open the link again.
Withdraw an invitation
Invitations that haven't been used yet appear under Waiting to be accepted, with the address and expiry date. Click Withdraw and the link stops working immediately.
Do this when you send one to the wrong address. There's no way to un-send the email, but there is a way to make it useless.
Change a role, or remove someone
The member list under Settings → Organisation has a role dropdown next to each person and a Remove button.
Removing somebody revokes their access to everything in the organisation, immediately. Their own personal organisation and anything in it is untouched.
Roles above your own are greyed out, and the last owner cannot be changed or removed.
